Madeline G. Harris, MSN, RN

Madeline Harris received her BSN in 1975 and her MSN in 1990, both from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing. As an oncology certified nurse, certified breast cancer nurse, educator, researcher, consultant, author and innovator, Madeline Harris has literally touched the lives of thousands of cancer patients and their families. She is the recipient of the prestigious Jo Ann Bennett Award for compassionate nursing care and the Lane W Adams award given to outstanding oncology nurses who exemplify compassionate and expert care.

In 2002, Ms. Harris spearheaded “Climb for the Cause”, a group of breast cancer survivors and caregivers who climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania Africa. In 2004, Ms. Harris developed “For the Cause” providing adventures to breast cancer survivors and caregivers. Through her professional career and community service, Ms. Harris has been a major force in forming our local and national reputation for highest quality care for women with breast cancer.
